2020 Round up: Welcome to the team!
Our Senior Leadership Team has grown significantly over the past 12 months, welcoming new faces and creating brand new positions to add further expertise to the company. But first, we have to mention a very special position - we were thrilled to announce Vidisha Gaglani’s promotion to Chief Client Officer in May. Vidisha is one of the longest-standing members of the Streetbees team, joining at the beginning of 2017 as Research Director and just three years later entered our c-suite.
We’ve also been very lucky to have the following experts join the team:
🐝 Ali Al Nasiri as Data Operations Director: Before joining Streetbees, Ali spent three years at Uber, scaling operations in the UK. He spent another two years at Wheely where he relaunched and led the UK operations - while also helping set up the function and replicating its success in France. Ali is now heading up our operational function, ensuring we collect and deliver everything on time and to the highest quality for the brands we partner with while growing our and developing our bee community.
🐝 Omid Ashtari as Chief Operations Officer: Omid Ashtari is COO at Streetbees, as well as adviser to Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London. In his previous role he was in charge of scaling and running operations and business development as President & Head of Business at urban mobility app Citymapper. Before that, he was Managing Director at Foursquare leading European business development, strategy & operations. He started his career at Google, working 7 years in Dublin, London, and San Francisco in sales, strategic partnerships, and business development. Omid mentors entrepreneurs at Techstars, Seedcamp, the Mayor’s International Business Program and is an adviser and investor in various startups.
🐝 Andrew Roff as Finance Director: Andrew oversees all financial and legal aspects of Streetbees’ work, from overseeing funding rounds to paying suppliers, managing the forecasting process and reporting our results, Andrew and his team have it covered. Prior to this role, Andrew worked for 4 years at Babylon Health as Finance Director and also set up Babylon’s Canadian operation in Vancouver for a year. He is a chartered accountant with over 15 years of experience in the industry.
🐝 Rishi Raja as Head of Client Strategy: Rishi heads up the client strategy division at Streetbees, where he and his team are in charge of understanding and developing innovative approaches to client issues. With an impressive 15 years of experience across analytics, category, sales and marketing, Rishi joins us from Kantar where he was a director. There he spent seven and a half years working providing strategic consultancy to blue-chip manufacturers in the FMCG industry.
🐝 Jorge Bestard as VP of Sales: Jorge joined us from Facebook, where he spent four years working for its b2b SaaS solution, Workplaces. He headed up the Enterprise Sales function of the business, where he was responsible for leading growth in the EMEA region. At Streetbees, he will be responsible for growing our sales teams significantly over the next 12 months, while executing and managing the full sales process.
🐝 Ashley Goerger, VP of Marketing: Ashley joined Streetbees in August as our first VP of Marketing, bringing 20 years of experience in the tech industry leading Marketing functions. Before joining us, Ashley was VP of Demand Generation at Collibra where she helped the company scale revenues 10x to $100m ARR, and achieve a $2bn valuation. Prior to this role, Ashley led global marketing functions at Oracle and Qlik. As Streetbees grows, Ashley will play an integral role in building a world-class marketing team, scaling our pipeline generation, and increasing PR and brand awareness.
🐝 Kayla Lean, Product Marketing Lead: Kayla joined us from dunnhumby where, using customer data science, she worked with world-leading consumer goods and retail companies to build customer-first strategies. Before that, she worked client-side, with one of Canada’s most iconic retailers, building and growing category portfolios and channel strategies. With over a decade of experience, Kayla is now building out the product marketing team at Streetbees to enable the sales team to sell better, faster, and stronger, as well as ensuring our clients see the full value and ROI of Streetbees’ platform.
It’s not just senior leadership that’s grown this year though - the entire Streetbees team has grown over 50% since the beginning of the year, and we’re not stopping there!
